![]() ![]() It's weird because I never experienced this when watching YWY2 last year and I loved that season-even moreso than Chuang 2020! I know iQIYI titles YWY3's episodes by release date, but it's hard to differentiate the actual episodes from the filler. At this point, I'm just going to watch the performances from YWY3 and find out who's in the final lineup in the end =/Īlso I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but iQIYI's site (and the app, to an extent) for watching YWY3 episodes is not very user-friendly? I wish iQIYI formatted YWY3's episode titles like Tencent does with Chuang's e.g. Keeping up with YWY3 just started feeling like a chore whereas with Chuang 2021, I always look forward to the new episodes and try to consume as much side content as possible. ![]() In the beginning I watched both Chuang 2021 and YWY3, but I stopped watching YWY3 because of points both OP and other people in the comments have already mentioned. I will say that it always seems like the same people though so I wouldn't mind more focus on those that have gotten less screentime. Basically, I think the show has been able to highlight who is funny, sweet, quiet, gentle, and extra. There are a lot of comedians this year on Chuang also. At first, I felt that I wanted them to be more strict with the trainees, but it seems like the more advanced trainees are plenty strict themselves, so that made me even happier □. I love the mentors on this Chuang too cause I feel they are really chill and despite most of them being immensely famous, they don't take screentime away from the trainees. Soooooo, I love Li Ronghao's vocal classes. Seeing that, I got scared to talk about Lisa cause I don't want her fans to start a fight with a passer-by fan like me. At least they had the self awareness to add that they were watching the show for her (so a blink?). ![]() On the YwY subreddit, I made a casual comment that the show sometimes low-key felt like "The Lisa Show" but someone said this was totally NOT TRUE and that blinks have been complaining about her not getting enough air time. Those are just a few thoughts, let me know how you guys feel! I saw the results and was just like.these people are funnY? It just doesn't compare to Chuang. They had a contest where the contestants voted for top comedian amongst themselves. YWY, I can't tell who they are friends with at all.Ĭhuang has much funnier personalities as well (Hanjiang, Hanpeiquan, Caelan etc. You can tell who's tight with whom and it's so adorable to watch. In YWY on the other hand, I just feel like there was just nothing like this that was done in the taping/editing to make people's skills stand out, so a lot of people are voting on looks/previous fame.Ĭhuang has MUCH better CP's than YWY. There are def exceptions, but for the most part, because the Chuang made people's skills speak for themselves, I think the voting also reflected that. Part of this may be due to the presence of international trainees that just look so different in Chuang, but I think the contestants themselves in Chuang also just have very unique personalities and stand out in their own way.Ĭhuang was also able to highlight each person's talent a lot more, so they stand out even more that way (especially with the recreation of the title song, which was a brilliant idea)Ĭhuang's higher ranked contestants seem to be more based on skill. I can definitely tell apart the individual contestants a lot more on Chuang, whereas for YWY, I have to keep looking for name tags and trying to remember where I've seen them from. Not sure if anyone else has been watching both of them like I have, but I really wanted to compare the two since they are so similar it's really easy to see who's doing better in what aspects.Ĭhuang highlights the individual more. ![]()
